Burger Lounge Opens Their Eighth Los Angeles Location in Sherman Oaks

The Husky

Established in 2007, Burger Lounge was founded by J. Dean Loring and Mike Gilligan with the underlying philosophy that superior flavor and freshness come from ethically and sustainably grown ingredients that are primarily organic, non-GMO and sourced from responsible growers and family ranchers.

Burger Lounge, the popular Southern California family of restaurants, has announced that they will open their first San Fernando Valley location in Sherman Oaks August 21st, bringing area diners a new source for premier fast casual handcrafted 100% grass-fed burgers and freshly prepared salads.

“Sherman Oaks is the quintessential Southern California neighborhood, and we are thrilled to have finally found a home here,” Comments J. Dean Loring, Founder/CEO.

The restaurant’s recipes abide by the philosophy that ingredients matter above all else, and superior flavor and freshness come from ethical growing practices. Non-GMO, sustainably-sourced ingredients delivered fresh from domestic ranchers and farms are the foundation of Burger Lounge’s culinary efforts.

"The genesis of Burger Lounge is that we've created a burger you can feel good about eating,” says Loring. “We only use fresh, single source, American grass-fed beef from family ranchers whose best practices and authenticity result in fabulous flavor. We prepare our entire menu with premium ingredients so that it appeals to health-conscious diners, vegetarians, and those simply hankering for a great hamburger.”

Burger Lounge menu highlights ($7.95 to $12.95) will include assorted beef burger options, a cage-free turkey burger, an organic quinoa veggie burger, a pan-fried Alaskan cod sandwich, and a crispy cage-free chicken sandwich. The signature offering Lounge Burger is made with 100% grass-fed, grass-finished American beef (never frozen), organic cheese, grilled or fresh onion, lettuce, tomato and house-made 1000 Island dressing on a proprietary bun featuring a blend of organic wheat and white flour with a hint of Blackstrap molasses, toasted on a flat-top grill.

Among the salads ($8.95) will be the Fresh Vegetable and the Lounge Caesar. Assorted add-ons and house-made dressing will be available, plus sides of made to order French fries, onion rings or A Nice Little Side Salad™. There will also be several kid-friendly selections and gluten-free choices. Among the libations will be hand-dipped shakes, floats, cane-sweetened, fair-trade sodas, local beer and wine.

Suppliers and vendors that Burger Lounge partner with include premier purveyors such as Rumiano Cheese Co., Grass Run Farms and Batch Craft Soda.

“Establishing meaningful partnerships with our ranchers and other suppliers has been part of our model from the beginning,” says Loring. “We know where our cattle are raised, what they eat and how they’re treated. It’s a humane process and we think that matters.”

The Burger Lounge design sensibility is modern, efficient, and forward thinking. It mirrors the brand’s “less is more” approach to food that has been a hallmark since its inception. Focus is on modern design, execution and guest experience.
